Our pup Zelda absolutely loves being a part of the Dog Tired pack! She is part of a huge family that continuously receives fantastic service from Gareth. Gareth has always been very accommodating, reliable and a good friend from the moment we enquiries about his services up to now, Zelda being a valued member of the pack. He has always provided great adbice and never leaves you in the dark with walks. Every walk is live-streamed so even when I'm at work, I can get a look at what our michievous pup is getting up to. Our Mission is TO PROVIDE FLEXIBLE FAMILY FRIENDLY PET CARE.
My name is Gareth and I have spent the last 13 years building up Dog Tired from startup to the successful business it is today.
In November 2010, we launched Dog Tired in the Broughty Ferry area of Dundee, however due to the success of the business we found ourselves having to move to larger business premises in September 2014.
We now have a fantastic countryside location in Newtyle, with 1.25 acres for your dogs to play in when they come to stay as well as more walks than you can shake a stick at.
The idea for the business came from our personal experiences and difficulties finding somewhere other than boarding kennels to board our elderly Golden Retriever Hudson, who sadly passed away in October 2010.
We came up with the idea of offering dog and animal boarding – holidays for your pets!
Many dogs are bored and distressed in kennels and long for long walks and home comforts. Many elderly dogs may struggle in that sort of environment, particularly if they have mobility problems as Hudson did.
Our back garden is fully enclosed with lots of room to play. We all plan to be involved in the dog walking and it will be very much a family affair.
